Hi. I'm in JAPAN now! *hurray* (eventho I'm living in the quiet side of Osaka, Tsukomodai). I arrived in Japan from Kansai International Airport on 17/9. It was a long flight because I departed from Jakarta at 8 PM and had to transfer my flight in KL at 11 PM, waited an hour or so then had my flight to Japan.
I was sent off by my family plus Indra. I went from my home after praying Asr and arrived in airport on about 5 PM. Wow it's still a long time to wait I guess, so we just sit there waiting and eat any food my mom brought from home. We passed Magrib & Isya time and we're still there waiting. Indra came from work and took a Damri bus. It was a very short time after evening. So I just went to the boarding room and waiting (again). I got a window sit in my flight to KL. But it's night already and it would be totally dark despite the little light coming from the airport and also the city light I saw from up in the air. I was sleepy, I did my quick sleep and found that I was in KL then.

SEE YOU ALL IN NEXT 6 MONTHS! |
So I was still sleepy when I had to walk to the other side of the boarding room to continue my flight. I was warned before to buy some drink or food in the airport because I didn't order my food on the plane. I buy a bottle of sparkling water I think I need that to drink my medicine (it's just Antimo, guys). So after we waited in the boarding room, the passenger took some kind connecting bus to the plane. That was nice because I didn't have to carry my luggage anywhere because it was automatically transferred to the next flight. My flight departed from KL at 1 AM. It's a different airplane from the one that I took before. Because the seats were 9 in a row. It's quite big.
I was shut down myself after the Antimo took some effect in my body. I had a very deep sleep until I found it's so noisy with some chit-chat from other passenger. Wow, it's morning already. I check my phone so I know did I pass the Subuh prayer. But I still had time to pray. I did a tayamum then pray while I was seated. Because I had my seat in the aisle, the flight attendants was so busy walking around. I saw the orange scratch of the sky. Waw it's a sunrise! But I't pretty sad that I can't took some picture to memorize.
And it was 8.30 already. I went off from the plane to go to the immigration area. But before that I was looking for any toilets that I can put my lens on. My immigration procedure took a long time plus I queued for a long line so I didn't found my luggage in the conveyor belt but it's been standing next to belt with some luggage left. Ah, it's Kansai Airport! Renzo Piano's masterpiece, that floated in the water as if it was an airport island. I wasn't able to take my camera from my bag to took some picture for the interior of the airport. I was only able to do that after I sit in some kind of lounge with the information center nearby. Ah, it's also free wifi but it's dillematic situation whether should I took photos or enjoy the wifi hahahaha.

KANSAI AIRPORT ARRIVAL LOUNGE |
Then I went to the ticket counter of the airport limousine bus. It costs me 1.950 yen. I queued in the line waiting for the bus. But I was shocked with the officer who took care of our luggage. It was 3 elder people. At first I pity them because from what I saw in Indonesia there were no such a thing for the elder people to do some heavy work, in this case with our luggage almost 20kilos per each. Okay, after the bus arrived, I entered the bus and pretty confused where to sit. I decided to take the right side. BUT, IT'S WRONG! A good view was from the left side :( So I just sneaking to capture the view on the left side. And should still took some picture from my right side. Fortunately, the one who sit in the left side was a girl hold some documents paper that was same as mine which is a direction to go to the Tsukomodai dormitory. I dared myself to say hello after we arrived at the Itami Airport to take the monorail. We took the monorail together to go to the Yamada station. We had a conversation. She's from Adelaide, Aussie. She's very good in English (of couse lah) and also good with Japanese. After that we took taxi to the dorm, Osaka University Tsukomodai International Student Dormitory.

ON THE WAY FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE CITY! |
We were welcomed by the manager and immediately led us to the lounge to do the registration. The dorm costs 35.000 yen per month, it's kind of expensive. I asked for another dormitory before, but they didn't allow me to change it. We had to pay for the initial month and also the deposit for the last month and also for the cleaning fee that worth 80.000 yen. Say goodbye for my money then. Then I was going for the dormitory tour. Shared kitchen, shared toilet and shower room, shared laundry. And the toilet was the one without the bidet! I was gonna cry!!! HAHAHAHA. I am not used to it. Also the shower room was pretty small! (It's the international student dormitory but why they give us their custom toilet as well...)
And then I had my me time at my room. My room was nice, it's air-conditioned and I had my own refrigerator (I dont have any idea how to fill it with some food or drinks). But the view was nice. I can relate it to Puncak or Bandung because it's so green and I could see a hills over my room. Then I packed off my luggage. I ate the bread I brought from CGK airport.

GIMME THE INDONESIAN NORMAL TOILET!! :""""( |
Then I went to some nearby market with my Adelaide friend, we can call her Maddy from now on. She'd like to buy a towel and I'd like to see something I can eat for dinner. Because I warned a lot of some food restriction, I was really careful to pick some food. I choose sushi with pickles, egg and some kind of lettuce and mushroom. And I also bought a sparkling water too. We ate it in the lounge with some tutor, so there I met Mary, Ken and Taka (if I'm not mistaken). And we also met a girl from UK named Alison. She has a complaining-face-all-the-time hahahah sorrry. I was afraid to had talk with her because yeah she determined herself that it's bad to have people speaking English with their own accent so that we hardly understand each other hahaha.
After that I went to my own room and was busy with making my own connection as a wifi.
Looking forward to tomorrow! Because there was an orientation program in the dorm. I wonder what kind of orientation it is hahahaha.
ps. I introduced myself as Yasso! It's awkward actually but I hope they're not hard to pronounce my name or so.
xx.
