#2 DAY. Walking around Tsukomodai & Takanodai.

My second day! I decided to get to know my neighborhood and walking around to Tsukomodai area. I was out from my dorm at about 10. But it's kind of cloudy and I was so afraid that I'd get to rain. But I still strengthen myself to keep on walking. My dormitory area is in a really quiet neighborhood. It's quite all day long, even in the noon like this. There are a lot of apato (I guess) and some one/two-storey houses. It's kind of expensive neighborhood as I saw it from the building hahaha.

TSUKOMODAI RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX
PARDON MY SELFIE! :p

After that, I headed to the park. It's Senriminami Park. Ah! It was breathtaking view as I never seen it in Indonesia! The air was fresh. And there was a very few cars went through this residential complex. Downstairs, I saw a children's playground and there were some adults accompanied their children at the playground.

I also saw a public toilet in the park. I guess the infrastructure is well-built as I feel it has a lot of functional-support facilities including this toilet. The toilet still use Japanese traditional toilet that I never met before. Besides, the toilet also provides toilet for the disable person.

The park itself was provided with a gathering area, sport utilities and also a big pond. I heard the birds chirp and also the sound of crows are likely common to be heard. There was a lot of elder people at the park doing some exercise, took a walk or had a jogging. They seem really old but their stamina is likely an adult. I heard that it was a lifestyle there to keep healthy. But I wonder that I heard Japan has a lot of suicide cases and in fact I still can see a lot of elder people having exercise to continue on living, what a contrary. It's like what's wrong with the young people? hahahaha.

Actually I can relate the park is kind of same with University of Indonesia area hahahah. Maybe because it hasn't reached the fall season and the trees are still as green as in Indonesia. But in here is way more cleaner and well-organized. Having the maps everywhere really help me on the way because my phone didn't have any internet connection. So if you heard that Japan has wifi everywhere, it's totally wrong, ok! I only met a free wifi at the airport. And also only at the dorm.

ROUNDABOUT, MAPS, STAGE, SPORT UTILITIES.
SAYA DI JEPANG APA DI UI?

Finished exploring the park, I went to the commercial area that have a mall named Garden Mall and also the train station, Minamisenri station. I was totally feel save walking around the street because the traffic light was helps a lot for me to cross over the road. It also provides a sound. Ah, it's so nice!

The car park and the bicycle park are neatly organized. I saw more bicycles than cars or even motorcycles are rarely found in here (there was only a few I guess). The bicycles are also modified with the seating for the children in the back and also has a basket in the front. Kawaii ne!

Before I explored the malls, I went further to walk around. I guess I was in another residential complex but not in Tsukomodai anymore. It was Takanodai area. The complex was also had the multistorey apato and a private house, and the private house seems so luxurious. Each complex in here has an elementary school I guess. I ever heard that one before. So the children don't have to walk too far or even took some public transport because it's near from their home.

TAKANODAI AREA

I also found a car parks a bit expensive. I know I can't read the words there but seeing the big amount of number is enough. The carpark in the residence area also has the owner number in it. And for the visitors the parking space, there are tools that check the tires to know how long the car parking (I guess). I don't know the system of parking a car yet.

After exploring Takanodai I went back to check the Garden Mall. Waw its size is small! I was amazed at first because I think I took a wrong topic in my research that I would like to check how malls are in Japan because it was so different with what I know in Indonesia. The mall is two storey only. It has a bookstore, 100yen shop, clothing store, restaurant, wine shop, photo counter stall, phone rent shop, 2 different supermarket, drugstore and cosmetics. I just still think that it's quite small but it's what they need, right?

GARDEN MALL, MINAMISENRI.

After that I had to rush to the dorm because I have to pray Dhuhr and waiting for the orientation meeting at the lounge.

The orientation meeting was at 4 PM. It was about the dormitory rule and instruction to make a bank account in the post office. There were some officer from the bank helping us to fill some form to be given by tomorrow at the post office. It's all in Japanese word, but they explain to us carefully with English (they're also helped by the students who can speak both Japanese and English as well).

I met Maddy, and made a new friends also. They are from Korea, Vietnam, Russia. And I also met Alison and her friend from UK. Waw I'm going worldwide I guess! Hahahah.

That's my story in my second day here.
See you in another story!
